Bonnaroo to announce 2015 lineup one month early

Great news, Bonnaroo enthusiasts! The 2015 lineup for the annual all-genre music fest in Manchester, Tenn., will be released on Tuesday. That's a month earlier than usual, and thus was a nice surprise when the fest broke the news on Thursday.

What's less surprising: The announcement won't be as simple as a lineup poster blasted to the Web at a certain time. Bonnaroo's once again getting creative with the roll-out, and this year, they're going old-school, too.

The fest is setting up a toll-free hotline at 1-844-ROO-2015 from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Callers will receive the name of a Bonnaroo performer and will be asked to share the news on social media using the #bonnaroo hashtag.

As performers are announced, the festival will verify social media posts and put the lineup together piece-by-piece on www.bonnaroo.com.

Who might be headlining this year's Bonnaroo? It's really anyone's guess — and as usual, plenty of folks are guessing on message boards. Last year's fest was headlined by Elton John, Jack White and Kanye West.

Bonnaroo takes place June 11-14 in Manchester, Tenn. Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. Jan. 17. Ticket pricing and details will be shared at a later date.
