Defensive lineman DaQuan Jones is the only member of the Titans' 2014 draft class that hasn't had much of a chance to prove himself this season.

That should change against the Jets this week.

"The expectation is that he is going to play and he's going to play early," defensive coordinator Ray Horton said of the fourth-round pick from Penn State. "Do I expect him to come in and get three sacks? I hope he does. But we do expect him to come in and do his job to the best of his abilities."

The 6-foot-4, 322-pound Jones has played in four games, but has only totaled 51 defensive snaps, according to Pro Football Outsiders.

"They let me know earlier in the week that I'd be up, so I just want to continue to work and do what I do best," Jones said. "I want to try to play my game – be fast, physical and just try to dominate. I think I've gotten a lot better with my hands, and learned how to play fast and play within the defense."

All the other 2014 draftees – tackle Taylor Lewan, running back Bishop Sankey, defensive back Marqueston Huff, linebacker Avery Williamson and quarterback Zach Mettenberger – have seen considerable action.

"I came in with a class that's very talented, and when everyone is playing, you kind of want to be out there with them," Jones said. "But you also understand that we have a lot of good guys on the defensive line. You have to wait your turn and my turn is Sunday, so I have to go out there and show out."
