Officers arrived at a home on North Rutherford Boulevard after a call about a woman, Bianca Bowers, shooting a man, Jarvis Douglas, during a domestic dispute, according to the police report. The bullet then struck her 14-month-old daughter.

No arrests were made, as officers were unable to determine the primary aggressor in the dispute, the report stated. Detectives arrived at the scene after the child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

"The case is under investigation and will likely be presented to a Rutherford county grand jury," said Sgt. Kyle Evans, public information officer for the MPD, in an email.
