The sentencing date for two former Vanderbilt University football players convicted of raping a student in 2013 has been pushed back to 9 a.m. April 24.

A jury found Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, both 21, guilty of multiple counts of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery in late January. The men were scheduled to be sentenced on March 6, however the defense attorneys had scheduling conflicts and the date was reset for April.

Judge Monte Watkins will hand down the sentence. Vandenburg and Batey each could face decades in prison for the assault on the unconscious female student in Vandenburg's dorm room at the university on June 23, 2013.
