Before twerking, there was "The Twist." In 1960 Chubby Checker's signature hit kicked off a dance craze, and 55 years later, he's still getting fans out of their seats.

On Thursday the rock 'n' roll veteran will be joined at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on the "Golden Oldies Spectacular" with Charlie Thomas' Drifters, who'll treat the crowd to '50s/'60s classics “Under the Boardwalk,” “Up on the Roof,” “Save the Last Dance for Me,” “This Magic Moment” and more. The Duprees ("You Belong to Me,” “Have You Heard”) will also perform.

Thursday's concert starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $22-$65.
