Pop music parody king "Weird Al" Yankovic will return to Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on May 23, as part of a just-announced world tour in support of his 2014 album, "Mandatory Fun."

Though he's best known for his kooky reimaginings of hits by Michael Jackson ("Eat It," "Fat"), Madonna ("Like a Surgeon") and Nirvana ("Smells Like Nirvana"), plenty of Nashville names have gotten the Yankovic treatment over the course of his 30-plus year career, including Taylor Swift, Ke$ha, Jack White and two generations of the Cyrus family.

"Mandatory Fun" was Yankovic's first album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, bolstered by viral videos and takes on "Fancy," "Happy," "Blurred Lines" and other recent pop hits.

Tickets for the Ryman concert are $39.50-$49.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, January 30 via ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, the Ryman box office or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
