10. Hillsboro (1-1) — The Burros, playing without senior running back Deandre Alexander, suffered their first regular-season defeat in nearly two years with Friday’s 36-28 loss to Oakland. Last week: 8. This week: Bye

9. Nashville Christian (2-0)The Lions limited the opposition to just six first downs and 69 yards in Friday’s 20-7 win over White House Heritage. Last week: 10. This week: Friday vs. Monterey (at Tennessee Tech).

8. Ensworth (1-1)The Tigers, who were trounced by Trinity (Ky.) a week ago, fared much better against this week’s out-of-state opponent, notching a 28-7 win over defending Alabama Class 3A champion Madison Academy. Last week: NR. This week: Friday vs. Baylor.

7. Blackman (1-1)The Blaze, led by quarterback Miller Armstrong’s 218-yard, two-touchdown effort, racked up over 500 yards of offense en route to a thrilling 44-42 win over McCallie. Last week: NR. This week: Friday vs. Riverdale.

6. Independence (2-0) — The Andrew Bunch-led Eagles offense delivered another stat-stuffing performance on Friday, hanging 49 points on a previously unscored on Centennial defense. Last week: 9. This week: Friday vs. Lincoln County.

5. Oakland (1-1) — Despite fumbling the ball away on their first three possessions, the Patriots, coming off a disheartening Week 1 defeat to Hoover (Ala.), avoided an 0-2 start by coming from behind to beat a talented Hillsboro squad. Last week: 5. This week: Friday vs. Siegel.

4. Christ Presbyterian Academy (2-0)Just one week removed from downing a nationally-ranked Georgia squad, the Lions rolled to another impressive win, thumping Knoxville Catholic 38-10 behind running back Chip Omer’s 169-yard, two-touchdown performance. Last week: 4. This week: Friday vs. White House Heritage.

3. Ravenwood (2-0) — Raptors quarterback Andrew Rappe accounted for 327 yards from scrimmage — he was 15-of-15 passing for 170 yards — and four total touchdowns in a convincing 31-17 win over rival Brentwood. Last week: 3. This week: Friday vs. Mt. Juliet.

2. Brentwood Academy (1-1) — The Eagles fared better than Ensworth the week before, but they still stumbled against 23-time Kentucky state champion Trinity, suffering a 31-13 defeat to the nationally-ranked Shamrocks. Last week: 1. This week: Friday vs. Pope John Paul II.

1. Montgomery Bell Academy (2-0)Standout running back Ty Chandler was contained, churning out just 82 yards on 29 attempts, but first-year starter Glenn Coleman threw for 131 yards and accounted for two touchdowns in a 34-25 triumph over Pearl-Cohn. Last week: 2. This week: Friday vs. Melrose.
