Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne on Friday was named a finalist for the Vezina Trophy for the third time in his career.

Montreal's Carey Price and Minnesota's Devan Dubnyk also were nominated for the award, which will be presented at the annual NHL awards ceremony in June.

Rinne was among the regular-season leaders in several statistical categories. He finished tied for second in wins (41), third in goals-against average (2.18) and seventh in save percentage (.923). A two-time former finalist, Rinne finished second in voting in 2011 and third in 2012.

Price is virtually guaranteed to win the award after a remarkable season that saw him lead the NHL in wins, goals-against average and save percentage, the first goaltender to do so since 1990-91. His 44 wins were the most in the Canadiens' nearly century-long history.

Dubnyk, who briefly played for the Predators last season, revitalized his wayward career upon being traded to the Wild in January. He had a 27-9-2 with a 1.78 goals-against average and .936 save percentage for Minnesota, making a franchise-record 38 consecutive starts. Overall, Dubnyk finished with a 36-14-4 record.
