A look at the top high school football performers from Week 9 of the regular season:

RB Taeler Dowdy, Blackman

Dowdy ran 22 times for 281 yards in the Blaze’s 55-30 win over Region 2-6A foe Siegel, and the 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior scored on touchdown runs from 5, 66 and 22 yards.

QB Ashton Posey, Marshall Co.

Posey completed 21-of-30 pass attempts for 358 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 59-21 win over Region 4-4A foe Spring Hill, and the 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior also ran for 62 yards and a pair of scores.

WR Ricco Gregory, Siegel

Gregory made nine catches for 239 yards in the Stars’ 55-30 loss to Region 2-6A foe Blackman, and the 5-foot-6, 130-pounder also hauled in a 48-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

QB Andrew Bunch, Independence

Bunch threw for 204 yards on 12-of-18 passing in the unbeaten Eagles’ 49-16 triumph over Region 5-5A foe Columbia, and the 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior fired six first-half touchdown passes in the lopsided win.

QB Jimmy Ferrell, Pearl-Cohn

Ferrell completed 15-of-20 passes for 321 yards in the Firebirds’ 41-3 win at Region 5-4A foe White House. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior fired five touchdown passes — three of which went to senior standout Rontavius Groves.

RB Lazarius Patterson, Oakland

Patterson piled up a career-high 243 yards on 22 carries in the Patriots’ 43-14 win over rival Riverdale, and the junior running back found the end zone on touchdown runs of 82, 10 and 65 yards.

WR Tre Bailliez, Stewarts Creek

Bailliez made his presence felt in both the running and receiving games Friday, making three catches for 115 yards, including a 67-yard, second-quarter touchdown reception. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound junior also racked up 84 yards rushing on nine carries.

QB Michael Magochy, Page

Magochy completed 22-of-34 pass attempts for 303 yards in the Patriots’ 49-27 win over Region 4-4A foe Giles County, and the 6-foot-4, 215-pound senior fired touchdown passes of 9, 17, 10, 12 and 14 yards.

RB Larry Wilhoite, FRA

Wilhoite ran for a season-high 121 yards on 22 carries in the unbeaten Panthers’ 31-28 win over district foe Davidson Academy, and the 6-foot, 185-pounder also hauled in a 48-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

QB Seth Carlisle, Macon Co.

Carlisle piled up 240 yards rushing on 25 carries in the Tigers’ 43-36 loss to Region 5-4A foe Springfield, scoring on touchdown runs from 2, 59, 1 and 6 yards. The 6-foot, 198-pound sophomore also completed 5-of-12 passes for 70 yards in the narrow defeat.
