It’s set in New York City, but Fox’s TV series “Empire” might get a small dose of Music City in its second season.

The hit music industry drama is holding a nationwide talent search for the “next Empire artist.” It’s part of the show’s promotional bus tour, which will stop in Nashville on Aug. 21 and 22.

Contestants will get to climb aboard the gold “Empire” bus and record an a cappella version of one of the show’s songs. The grand prize winner will appear on the second season of "Empire."

The bus will be at Walk of Fame Park (Fourth Avenue South) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22.

Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, “Empire” is one of the biggest hits network TV has seen in years. More than 17 million viewers tuned into its first season finale. Season 2 will premiere Sept. 23, the same night ABC’s “Nashville” returns for its fourth season.
