4. Kinship: An Evening with Mary Karr and Rodney Crowell — 6:30-10 p.m., Saturday, February 6

The Porch Writers’ Collective is continuing to build a reputation for unlikely artist mash-ups following last year’s fundraiser that brought together author and Tim O’Brien and Grammy-winning musician Tim O’Brien. This weekend, the nonprofit pairs two more unlikely artists for one night only to raise funds and awareness for Nashville’s sole independent center for writing. Kinship: An Evening with Mary Karr and Rodney Crowell puts the famed literary and performing artists on stage together to celebrate the art of storytelling, both written and performed.
