Join our book drive to help Nashville Public Library

USA TODAY NETWORK – Tennessee

We want your help in bringing books to Nashville kids.

Please join The Tennessean and TN Media group in a book drive through Oct. 21.

The Tennessean, TN Media and Hands On Nashville are partnering with the Nashville Public Library on a facility enhancement project this month at the branch at 380 Thompson Lane. Projects will include painting a mural in the children’s storytelling room, creation of a puppet theater, painting an outside wall and improving the gardens.

The effort is part of Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual days of service in the country. Launched in 1992, Make A Difference Day is a USA TODAY initiative, backed by the Gannett Company and TEGNA Inc. This year's service day will be Oct. 24.

We want to boost the impact of Make A Difference Day in our community with a book drive to benefit the city’s library system. We would like you to join us in this effort.

To participate, please donate new or gently used children’s books from Monday through Oct. 21 at The Tennessean's office or at Hands On Nashville.
