Meet the 8 College World Series participants
Vanderbilt is one of four SEC teams and is among the eight programs vying for the College World Series title in Omaha, Neb.
Vanderbilt won its first title in 2014, beating Virginia. The Commodores won the first game of the best-of-three championship series, 9-8. After losing the second game, 7-2, the Commodores held on to win the third game, 3-2.
Meet the 2015 competitors:
ARKANSAS:
The Razorbacks (40-23) will play Virginia in the opener on June 13 at 2 p.m.
Arkansas advanced to the Series by winning the Oklahoma State bracket. The Razorbacks then beat Missouri State in the Super Regional. Arkansas won the first game, 18-4, Missouri State won game two, 3-1, then Arkansas won the deciding game, 3-2. Arkansas got the benefit of playing the Super Regional in its home park in Fayetteville because Missouri State could not play at home because of a scheduling conflict with a minor-league pro team.
VIRGINA
Virginia (39-22) will face Arkansas in the CWS opener on June 13 at 2 p.m.

FLORIDA
Florida (49-16) will face Miami (Fla.) in the second game on June 13 at 7 p.m.
The Gators advanced to the CWS by sweeping through its own regional, then sweeping Florida State in the Super Regional by scores of 13-5 and 11-4.
MIAMI (Fla.)
Miami (49-15) will face Florida in the second game of the series, June 13 at 7 p.m.
The Hurricanes advanced to the CWS by winning its region, topping Columbia in the final. The Hurricanes then swept Virginia Commonwealth, 3-2 and 10-3, to advance to Omaha.
TCU
TCU (49-13) will play LSU on June 14 at 2 p.m. in the third game of the tournament.
TCU advanced to the CWS by winning its regional, then beating Texas A&M in the Super Regional. TCU won the first game, 13-4, lost the second game, 2-1, then won the final 5-4 in 16 innings.
LSU
LSU (53-10) meets TCU in Game 3, the first game on June 14 at 2 p.m.
LSU advanced to Omaha by sweeping through its region, then by beating Louisiana Lafayette in the Super Regional by scores of 4-3 and 6-3.
CAL STATE FULLERTON
Cal State Fullerton (39-23) will face Vanderbilt in the fourth and final opener on June 14 at 7 p.m.
Fullerton swept through its regional, then beat Louisville in the Super Regional. Fullerton won the first game of the series, 3-2, then lost 9-3, before winning the deciding game, 4-3, in 11 innings.
VANDERBILT
Vanderbilt (47-19) will open defense of its national title on June 14 at 7 p.m. against Cal State Fullerton.
The Commodores have swept through the NCAA playoffs, beating Lipscomb, Indiana and Radford in the regional at Hawkins Field, then beating host Illinois, 13-0 and 4-2, in the Super Regional.
