Diarrhea Planet, The Features headline concert for charity
Nashville bands Diarrhea Planet and The Features will headline the inaugural East Side Social concert at East Park on June 20.
In addition to the concert, East Side Social will include food and beer. Kaleidoscope Media and the East Nashvillian teamed to put on the event, and a percentage of ticket sales will benefit CASA Nashville, a nonprofit group that helps abused children find safe and permanent homes.
Tickets are $35 for VIP, $15 for general admission and kids 12 and younger are free.
"East Nashville has a special sense of community," Kaleidoscope Media owner Angie Gore said in a media release. "It's also the heart of a thriving indie scene in Nashville, and we are excited to bring Diarrhea Planet and The Features to the neighborhood at such a great venue. We're also thrilled to be working with The East Nashvillian to build what we hope will become a community tradition."
In a media release, East Nashvillian editor and creative director Chuck Allen said the project's goal is to bring the neighborhood together, give props to local talent and give back to the community. The East Nashvillian is an East Nashville-focused community magazine.
