Antioch shopping center flipped for $2.85 million

Anchor Investments buys building where a Bargain Hunt store is expected to take over Office Depot space.

  • Ohio-based Schottenstein Property Group Inc. bought the property two months ago and flipped it to Anchor Investments.
  • Anchor also co-owns the last 63 undeveloped acres at the Ridgeview mixed-use community behind the Thorntons gas station on Bell Road.
  • Regent Homes paid $2 million for 15 acres at Nolensville Pike and Burkitt Road where it plans 200 residential units.
  • Brentwood PGM Properties paid $1.18 million for five acres where it plans retail buildings as part of Burkitt Commons.

Nashville-based Anchor Investments LLC is the new owner of the nearly 60,000-square foot shopping
center in Antioch where a Bargain Hunt retail store is expected to take over the former Office Depot space.

The real estate investment company paid Schottenstein Property Group Inc. $2.85 million for the property, nearly two months after that Columbus, Ohio-based company had bought it for roughly that same price.

"We like Antioch long-term due to its proximity to Nashville and the housing growth in the area," said Micah Lacher,
Anchor Investments' president. "There is a lot of positive momentum in the area and we are glad to be part of it."

Bed Bath and Beyond and Casual Male XL are other tenants of the shopping center with addresses including 5301 Hickory Hollow Parkway.

Elsewhere in Antioch, Anchor Investments, Nelson Crowe and Amber McAdams own the last 63 undeveloped acres at the Ridgeview mixed-use community behind the Thorntons gas station at Bell Road and Eagle View Boulevard.

Land for Nolensville area project sold for $3 million

A pair of developers have bought for roughly $3 million the 20 acres at Nolensville Pike and Burkitt Road where they plan the Burkitt Commons mixed-use project..

Nashville-based Regent Homes paid Newco-Burkitt LLC, whose president is J. Dudley Parker, $2 million for 15 acres on which the homebuilder plans 200 residential units.

Site work should start by June on the Burkitt Commons property that's mostly in southeast Davidson County. The residential units will include 159 townhomes, 38 stacked flats and four carriage homes with prices expected to start in the low-to-mid $200,000s for the townhomes and flats and go up to around $300,000.

Brentwood PGM Properties LLC paid roughly $1.18 million for roughly five acres mostly in Williamson County on which it plans six retail buildings totaling 35,000 square feet of space.
