Chris Young and Cassadee Pope are learning a few things from each other. The country singers — who have a Top 20 hit with the duet “Think of You”— are on tour together. Pope is opening Young’s I’m Comin’ Over World Tour for the next few weeks, and so far they’ve learned how to fly a drone, and Young laughs as Pope explains he’s taught her a couple of things about football.

“He’s really fun to hang out with,” she said. “We’re buds.”

Cassadee Pope arrives on the red carpet at the 49th Annual CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 4, 2015.

Pope joins Young on stage every night to sing “Think of You,” Young’s fastest-rising single to date on country radio airplay charts. Even though the duet was just released about a month ago, fans are already singing the chorus louder than the singers on stage each night.

“I was like, ‘There’s no way you guys know this already,’ ” Young said Monday after his and Pope’s performance on Live at 35, Southwest Airlines’ in air concert program that enlists singers to perform for its passengers several times a year. “This is really fast, and it’s awesome. I loved this song from the get go and Cassadee was my first choice to be on this. This song needed someone that was really, really powerful vocally and she obviously is. It’s just a whole lot of fun getting into this song.”
