Notable: Georgia State's No. 67 David Huey (Pearl-Cohn) is a redshirt senior nose guard who played in four games with four tackles.

Western Kentucky running back D'Andre Ferby is one of 85 former Midstate high school football players who will play in college bowl games.

South Florida (8-4) vs. Western Kentucky (11-2), Dec. 21, 1:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Notables: Western Kentucky has five players from the Midstate — No. 32 freshman running back D’Andre Ferby (Ensworth), No. 68 freshman offensive lineman Parker Howell (CPA), No. 30 senior defensive back Prince Charles Iworah (Father Ryan); No. 16 freshman wide receiver Quin Jernigan (LaVergne) and No. 15 junior punter Joseph Occhipinti (Hillsboro). Ferby had 636 rushing yards and a team-high 11 rushing touchdowns.

MTSU (7-5) vs. Western Michigan (7-5), Dec. 24, 11 a.m. (ESPN)

Notables: No. 12 redshirt freshman Brent Stockstill (Siegel) set numerous MTSU passing records en route to being named to the Conference USA all-freshman team. He's one of many players with Midstate ties:

Notable: No. 33 senior Matthew Moseley (Franklin/TSU) punted four times for a 31.5-yard average for Southern Miss.

Duke (7-5) vs. Indiana (6-6), Dec. 26, 2:30 p.m. (WKRN-2)

Notables: No. 67 Lucas Patrick (Brentwood) and No. 65 Cody Robinson (Warren Co.) are senior offensive linemen for the Blue Devils.

Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds is one of 85 former Midstate players who will play in bowl games.

Notables: No. 71 sophomore Alex Bars (MBA) is an offensive lineman who started two games for Notre Dame before getting injured. No. 9 freshman C.J. Sanders (Brentwood Academy) returned 23 kickoffs for a 25.2-yard average and 25 punts for a 7.3-yard average for the Irish. He had one kickoff return and one punt return for a touchdown.

ROSE BOWL

Iowa (12-1) vs. Stanford (11-2), Jan. 1, 4 p.m. (ESPN)

Notables: No. 16 junior C.J. Beathard (BGA) is the Hawkeyes' starting quarterback. He passed for 2,570 yards and 15 touchdowns and also rushed for 270 yards and six scores. No. 52 senior Graham Shuler (Brentwood Academy) is the starting center for the Cardinal.

ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL

Ole Miss (9-3) vs. Oklahoma State (10-2), Jan. 1, 7:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Notables: No. 84 junior tight end Hunter Thurley (CPA) played in all 12 games and caught two passes for Ole Miss. The Rebels also have several Midstate freshmen on their roster: No. 67 offensive lineman Alex Givens (Nashville Christian.), No. 12 wide receiver Van Jefferson (Ravenwood), No. 54  offfensive lineman Sam Johnson (CPA), No. 85 tight end Dawson Knox (Brentwood Academy), No. 28 offensive lineman Cameron Ordway (Giles Co.).
