When The Rolling Stones take the stage at Nashville's LP Field this summer, it'll be more than a massive concert. They'll be putting a cap on what could be the biggest week of live music that Middle Tennessee has seen in years.

The rock giants will play their first Nashville concert in 13 years June 17. Three days before that, the CMA Music Festival will wrap up a sold-out, four-night run at LP Field — and concert officials expect the Stones to play to a packed house of roughly 69,000 fans as well. This year, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., overlaps with the CMA Music Festival and could bring upward of 80,000 more music lovers to Middle Tennessee.

Mayor Karl Dean, referencing a few of his favorite Stones songs, said the concert news gave him "great 'satisfaction.' "

"To quote a very wise man, 'I know it's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it,' " he said.

"I have a feeling that Rolling Stones fans from all over the Southeast will come here for the show, and we'll show them Nashville hospitality. We'll extend that hospitality, of course, to the band. You have to remember that they're the ones who wrote 'Honky Tonk Women.' We've got the honky-tonks, and we encourage people to take advantage of that while they're here, too."

Tickets for the Nashville concert go on sale at 10 a.m. April 13. Prices are $65 to $350. American Express members will be able to purchase tickets five days in advance. The AmEx presale will run from 10 a.m. April 8 through 10 p.m. April 12.

The veteran rockers will kick off their new North American "Zip Code" tour at San Diego's Petco Park on May 24. They're set to visit 15 cities, wrapping July 15 at Le Festival D'Été de Québec.

Outside of the annual CMA Music Festival shows and summer tours by Kenny Chesney, stadium concerts are a rarity in Nashville. One Direction brought its tour to LP Field in the summer of 2013, and U2 played a sold-out concert at Vanderbilt Stadium in 2011.
