Condoleezza Rice cheers for her Stanford at the Woman's Final Four at the Bridgestone Arena onSunday April 6, 2014, in Nashville in Tenn.

Stanford's fan base got the boost of a famous face when former Secretary of State and Cardinal alum Condoleezza Rice came to show her support in the Women's Final Four in Nashville.

Rice was seated with the majority of Stanford's fan base in section 104 in the Bridgestone Arena but was not sporting the black, horn-rimmed glasses that adorned much of "Nerd Nation."

She did not want to speak with reporters at the beginning of the game with unbeaten Connecticut but did say through her media representative that "maybe if the game goes well" she would reconsider.

Rice served as secretary of state under President George W. Bush from 2005-09. She was the first female African-American secretary of state, as well as the second African-American in the position overall.
