Man robbed of lawn mower while riding it, police say

CLARKSVILLE, TENN. — Three Clarksville men were arrested Friday after allegedly pulling another man off a riding lawn mower, beating him and driving away with it.

According to arrest warrants, the three men approached a man mowing grass on West Creek Drive on a $5,000 zero turn mower.

“These subjects forcibly took (the victim) off the riding lawn mower by assaulting him and then loaded the mower on a separate trailer and left the area,” according to warrants.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center for injuries sustained in the robbery. His condition was not available.

Benjamin Kimball Owens, 34, Jonathan Lee Storey, 24, and Jason Daniel McLean, 30, were each charged with robbery.

Owens, who gave a 353 Welchwood Drive address, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Storey and McLean both gave a 2116 Pea Ridge Road address and were also booked into the jail on $5,000 bond.
