Linebacker Wesley Woodyard has only been with the Titans for a little over three months, but so far, he's liked what he's seen.

"Overall, we are coming together,'' Woodyard said. "We have some work to do, but it is pretty exciting to see how things have gone so far. We're on the right track."

Woodyard spent his first six NFL seasons with the Broncos, including the Super Bowl in February. He signed a four-year deal with the Titans in March, and will be one of the starters this fall. That's a given.

Woodyard said he likes the scheme under defensive coordinator Ray Horton, as well as the mentality of the players on the defensive side of the ball. He feels like he's fit in well.

"I think I had a pretty good offseason coming in, getting to know some new teammates,'' he said. "I was a little nervous at first, not knowing how guys would take me in the locker room. But the camaraderie is building, and I am loving my new teammates."

One thing Woodyard doesn't know is who will line up next to him at inside linebacker in the new 3-4. Zach Brown, Colin McCarthy, Moise Fokou, Zaviar Gooden and Avery Williamson all lined up there during offseason practices.

"We all have to prove ourselves,'' said Woodyard, a former University of Kentucky player. "I am excited to see our team as a whole, not just who is going to be lined up next to me. I think we have a lot to prove. Everybody does."
