Rory Feek and his daughter Indiana, 2, are back home on their farm near Columbia, Tenn.

Saturday, one day after Joey Feek lost her battle with cancer, her husband posted a photo of himself and their daughter visiting the horses on their farm. Rory Feek gave his wife two horses for her 40th birthday in 2015. The family had been in Joey Feek's native Indiana since she received her terminal diagnosis in the fall.

Joey Feek dies after long cancer battle

“After four-and-a-half months in Indiana, we will soon be back home in Tennessee,” Feek wrote Friday on his blog www.thislifeilive.com. “Me, and our little one, with our older daughters.  It’s hard for me to imagine being there without Joey, but at the same time… it is where she wants us to be.”

Joey Feek was an avid gardener and helped her husband plan what to plant this year in the weeks before she died.

A day with Joey Martin Feek: 'I don't fear anything'

“She’s gonna be in the mint growing beside our back deck, the sweet-corn frozen in our freezer and a million other places that her hand and heart has touched around our little farmhouse and community,” Rory Feek wrote. “Joey will still be with us.  Everywhere.”

Joey Feek will have a private funeral. In lieu of flowers a donation can be sent to: Joey and Indy at PO Box 5471 Vancouver, WA 98668.
