Titans running back Shonn Greene's court case for multiple traffic violations has been continued until January 6, according to a court clerk in Williamson County.

Greene was arrested on October 24 in Franklin, Tenn., and charged with a handicap parking violation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting stop/halt/frisk.

Greene's attorney was granted a continuance in General Sessions Court, and the sixth-year pro now has an appearance date set for 9 a.m. on January 6. The Titans play their final game of the season on December 28 against the Colts.

Police say the incident began when Greene allegedly parked in a handicap parking space on the square in Franklin. Police say when a parking enforcement officer approached Greene to issue a citation, he got in his 2012 BMW M6 and maneuvered to get around the parking enforcement officer's vehicle.

According to police, Greene nearly struck the officer's vehicle and sped away from the area. Greene was later approached when he was slowed in traffic, but he sped away again, police say.

Greene said on October 26 the Titans told him not to talk about the matter.

"But it ain't what it seems to be and what they're making it to be," Greene said. "So that's all I can really say. It's not embarrassing to me because I know what happened."

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said the Titans have talked to Greene about the alleged incident.

"There is a different version of the story that we've heard about. We certainly don't want our team represented in a light like that. We are going to handle it internally," Whisenhunt said at the time. "I think (waiting for a resolution in the case) is the policy of the league when they discipline players. It would certainly be fair to say that we could do that as well."

Greene has 205 yards and one touchdown on 52 carries this season.

Titans running back Shonn Greene hopes to return Sunday against the Texans.
