Food & Wine is asking libation lovers to determine the best new bar in the country, and three Nashville joints are in the running.

The 404 Kitchen, Pinewood Social and Husk Nashville are the local nominees for The People’s Best New Bars poll by Food & Wine.

Each region (Southeast, West/Southwest, Northeast, Northwest/Mountain and Midwest) will have a winner, and the bar with the most overall votes will be named The People’s Best New Bar for 2014.

Food & Wine singles out The 404 Kitchen’s Nearest Green, with Tennessee whiskey, apple brandy, Benton’s bacon and citrus-infused honey; Husk’s Garden of the Gods with pisco and rhum agricole, lavender cordial and chamomile tincture; and the District 9 at Pinewood Social, with rye, absinthe and French aperitif liqueur Maurin Quina.

Voting runs through 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at www.foodandwine.com. The finalists and winner will be announced Oct. 2.
