Vince Gill to be honored with BMI Icon Award

With just one night to go before the 48th annual CMA Awards, Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) will honor Vince Gill with its BMI Icon Award at the 2014 BMI Country Awards Tuesday.

The awards show will take place at BMI offices on Music Row, and attendees are expected to include Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church, Lee Brice, Josh Turner, Jake Owen, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and The Band Perry.

In addition, the invitation-only event will celebrate the writers and publishers of country music’s most-performed songs on U.S. radio and television from the past year.
