Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter said he and quarterback Jake Locker are still working on their chemistry.

The talented second-year pro from Tennessee was targeted 14 times in the first two games, but only has five receptions for 89 yards.

Hunter pointed out that during his rookie season, he and Locker weren't on the playing field at the same time all that often. Because of Locker's injuries, the two played just six games together in 2013, combining for just six receptions.

"It takes time because I didn't have him all year last year with him being hurt, so we still have to get into rhythm with one another," Hunter said. "But we're working on that during practice and everything, so we're getting used to each other. It's going to show up."

Locker and the 6-foot-4, 203-pound Hunter appeared to have developed a good feel for the fade pattern throughout training camp and the preseason, but the Titans rarely used it in the first two games.

"No, not yet, but you can still look for it," Hunter said. "The time will come, just game-planning and everything."

Hunter said opponents may already be expecting to see the fade when the Titans get in the red zone "because my frame is so big."

"So you've got to do other things, too," he said. "You just can't keep doing the same thing over and over."
