The Titans plan to promote running back Antonio Andrews from the team's practice squad to their 53-man roster.
Andrews starred at Western Kentucky, where he gained 3,674 yards with 29 touchdowns on 618 carries (5.9 avg.).
Indications are the Bills wanted to sign Andrews, but the Titans promoted him to their roster to avoid losing him. The rookie sent a message on his Twitter account on Tuesday morning that simply read, "Activated!"
The Titans had an open spot on their roster after releasing tight end Brett Brackett on Monday.
The Titans already have running backs Bishop Sankey, Shonn Greene, Dexter McCluster, Leon Washington and Jackie Battle.
Greene has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, however.
