Charlie Nelson is best known for reviving Charles Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, a once-storied producer that rivaled Jack Daniel's in the 1800s. But there's so much more to know about the Nashvillian.

In this episode of the 12th Hour Podcast, Nelson, who once had a career as a voice actor, shares the story of his great-great-great grandfather Charles Nelson and how he and his brother rediscovered the family's distillery and the lessons he's learned along the way.

"Nothing ever happens exactly as you plan. Be flexible and just take things as they come," Nelson said.
