Big Sean performs at WE Day California at the Forum on Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Inglewood, Calif.

In Music City, every genre has a home. Rock reigns at the Exit/In, and country music fans flock to the Grand Ole Opry House.

Rap has a few places here, too. But the most prominent one might surprise you: Vanderbilt University.

For the last decade, the school has been the unlikely force bringing hip-hop's biggest names to Nashville. They'll do it again this fall, when rapper Big Sean headlines Vanderbilt's annual "Commodore Quake" homecoming concert on Oct. 21. Sean, best known for hits "Blessings," "IDFWU" and "Dance," will be joined by A$AP Ferg.

The show will take place at Vanderbilt's Memorial Gym, and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29. They're $50 for the general public, $40 for students and $45 for faculty/staff. On Oct. 15, prices will jump up to $60 for public and $50 for students/faculty.

Vanderbilt had Future headline their "Rites of Spring" festival earlier this year. In past years, the school has booked Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.
