Scoreboard: Station Camp soccer tops Gallatin

Station Camp volleyball defeats Portland to earn No. 2 seed in 9-AAA tourney

GALLATIN Michaela Nicholson and Ariana Orellana scored to lift Station Camp to a 2-0 victory at Gallatin on Thursday evening.

Nicholson netted her goal in the first half, while Orellana scored with 45.2 seconds to play as the Lady Bison (16-1 overall, 6-0 in District 9-AAA) won their 11th consecutive match and posted their fourth straight shutout.

Station Camp has not allowed a goal in district play this season, outscoring 9-AAA foes 34-0 in those six matches.

Gallatin fell to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in district play.

Station Camp hosts Hendersonville on Tuesday for the regular-season district title.

White House 6, White House Heritage 0: Madisson Davis had four goals and two assists in the Lady Devils’ 6-0 victory at White House Heritage.

Madeline Hargrove and Leanna Nesbitt each scored goals for White House (11-4 overall, 5-0 in District 9 A-AA).

White House has won four consecutive matches and posted three straight shutouts.

Clarksville 4, Hendersonville 3: Clarksville ended Hendersonville’s four-match winning streak, handing the Lady Commandos a 4-3 loss at Drakes Creek Park’s Field of Dreams.

Sydney Cason, Morgan Wettengel and Brooke Long scored the Lady Commando goals. Long’s goal tied the match five minutes into the second half, but Clarksville responded less than 10 minutes later.

Clarksville extended its winning streak over Hendersonville (10-2-2) to eight matches, as the Lady Commandos’ last victory in the series was a 2-1 triumph on Sept. 20, 2012.
