5th annual Music City Food + Wine fest proves a hit once again
Liz Blue bit into the pink flaky salmon, swallowed and smacked her lips.
"That's unreal, so marinated and fresh," the 28-year-old Nashville resident said just before her friend Brandon Bosler, 28, bit into a Greek salad complimented with lamb and butternut squash.
"This is the place to be," Bosler said while standing before a Martin's Bar-B-Que grill with salmon and chicken dangling over it by string.
The pair were among throngs who gathered under a sun-splashed mid-September sky in Bicentennial Park Friday during the fifth annual Music City Food + Wine Festival.
From food and beverage industry big wigs to loyal food enthusiasts, the Sept. 15-17 festival drew in thousands including Chris and Toni Chadwick who came from Huntington, W.V. to enjoy the event.
"The food was amazing," Toni Chadwick said.
When asked what her favorite dish was she immediately quipped, "Everything."
(Lobster bits and barbecue sliders were at the top of her list though.)
