$420 million Powerball ticket sold in Lafayette

A lottery player in Middle Tennessee has won a $420.9 million grand prize, according to the Tennessee Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold in Lafayette, Macon County, and matched all six Powerball numbers drawn Saturday night, the Tennessee Lottery said in a news release. The ticket is also the 200th ticket sold by the Tennessee Lottery worth $1 million or more.

The winning numbers were 17-19-21-37-44 16, Power Play 2.

The ticket holder remains unknown. The Tennessee Lottery advises the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a secure location. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.

This is the second largest prize for the Tennessee Lottery, the first was the $528.8 million prize won by a Munford family in January.
