Former Nashville home of George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Earl Scruggs listed for $4.2 million

An Oak Hill home that has been the residence of country stars from George Jones and Tammy Wynette to Earl Scruggs and his son Randy Scruggs is back on the market.
The original drummer for rock band Train, Scott Underwood, and his residential designer wife, Cheryl Underwood, are now seeking $4.2 million for the 8-acre estate property at 4121 Franklin Pike. Known as “First Lady Acres,” it was previously listed for $5.5 million.
The property includes a nearly 10,000-square-foot home with nine bedrooms, seven
full bathrooms, two half bathrooms plus a gourmet kitchen with fireplace. There also is a theater room and a gym and yoga room with two outdoor fireplaces, a pool and cabana, a storm shelter/safe room, a three-car garage and a helicopter pad, among other features.
Jones bought the home in 1974 for his then wife Wynette, who lived there until 1979. Record label owner Gayron “Moe” Lytle lived at "First Lady Acres” until 1984, followed by songwriter George Richey and Earl and Randy Scruggs. Last year Los Angeles transplants Scott and Cheryl Underwood paid $2.4 million for the home.
