Keith Urban, who sold out Bridgestone Arena in November, grabbed a long blond wig and his guitar Wednesday morning and returned to the scene of the memory. But this time, he was on the sidewalk across the street in front of Legends Corner.

With a black ball cap pulled over the shabby wig, Urban placed his open his guitar case in front of him and passers-by gathered around and tossed in dollars as he sang his No. 1 hit “Wasted Time.”

“We’re doing a little craziness for CRS,” Urban said, explaining he was filming a video for Country Radio Seminar that will be in Nashville Feb. 22-24. The video is for the seminar’s New Faces Show and while Urban is not a new face in country music, he laughs that he will be “visually represented.”

“We’re just doing something a little crazy on the streets today in Nashville, doing a little busking,” he said. “We made $8. It’s pretty good.”

Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton are reportedly participating in similar CRS “craziness.”

Country Radio Seminar is an annual convention packed with panels, showcases and workshops with emphasis on issues relevant to country radio. Attended by more than 1,000 country music industry professionals each year, CRS 2017 is Feb. 22-24 at the Omni Nashville.
