Man arrested in connection with Martin slaying

MARTIN — A Martin man is charged with first-degree murder in the April death of a man on Lester Lane.

Khalil Taylor, 26, is accused of killing 51-year-old Charles Graves at his Lester Lane home. According to a news release, Graves was found dead from a gunshot wound on April 18 by a home health worker.

Taylor is currently being held in the Weakley County Detention Center. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Weakley County General Sessions Court.

Court documents say investigators talked to Taylor, who authorities say admitted to shooting Graves on April 17. Taylor reportedly told investigators that he took a Crown Royal bag containing an unknown amount of change from Graves' bed, according to court documents.
