Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Nashville Thursday caused intermittent traffic interruptions in the city during portions of the late afternoon and evening hours, and by the looks of things on social media some were not dealing with it well.

Metro police said earlier in the day that delays would take place between the Nashville International Airport and the Music City Center downtown, with the first wave taking place likely between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Traffic interruptions would then continue between downtown and the airport in the evening, police said.

Police were encouraging motorists to be mindful of the interruptions and to plan accordingly.

People took to social media to vent their frustration.

Some where appreciative of Pence's visit and compared it to traffic during President Obama's visit.

Most were not as appreciative, however.

Where you stuck in traffic? How did you deal with the delays?
