Don't wait until Turkey day: Thanksgiving newspaper to be offered a day early this year

This publication's biggest edition of the year – the Thanksgiving Day newspaper – will be available earlier than ever the day before Thanksgiving at select retailers for the second year in a row.

The edition, which features Black Friday sale inserts and high-dollar savings ads inside, typically weighs in at around five pounds. Deliveries of the early Thanksgiving paper will begin at retailers  on Wednesday, Nov. 22. 

This Thanksgiving, buy our biggest edition of the year on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The following retailers will carry the Early Edition: Kroger, Mapco, Publix, Twice Daily, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and more. Not only will the early edition accommodate those making holiday shopping plans early, the edition will remain at many retailers through Black Friday as well.

In addition to featuring Black Friday steals and deals from more than 50 local and national retailers, the Thanksgiving Early Edition will feature a special sports story entitled We’ve Got Your Number identifying the state’s top all-time uniform numbers, from 00 to 99. Tennessean columnist Joe Rexrode will have an exclusive interview with former Tennessee Titan Tim Shaw about life with ALS and Ms. Cheap will feature the free places to see Santa.
